Hola, Amigas! I am excited to share with you this wonderful product. It is The Body Shop’s Shea Butter from Ghana. As an avid fan of their skin care products, everything that will be written here are tried and tested by me. I have been with them since last year and I am a Love Your Body Club member as well. So, let’s talk about SHEA BUTTER.
Shea butter is actually from a nut produced by the shea tree or what they call as the “Tree of Life”. African women uses the butter for centuries that is why when you check their skin, it is soft and moisturized. It has a lot of uses and it is very versatile. You can DIY a lot of skin care products with shea butter as the base. Each pack is made of 192 shea nuts – making your skin moisturized throughout the day. I have tried it already and I am impressed.
The use of shea is a community trade made possible by Dame Anita Roddick in 1994. It has been one of the source of income of African Women thru their Tungteiya Women’s Shea Butter Association. It has since then providing a fair wage and funding for local community projects. By supporting shea butter products, you are already giving light to African women’s future.
I believe that trade which is fair, trade that is free from exploitation, trade that brings dignity rather than dehumanizing, can play an important role
– Dame Anita Roddick
I have been using The Body Shop Shea Butter for a while now and I really love it. It keeps my skin moisturized and I feel that it’s making my skin softer and smoother. I use it mainly for my soles, knees and elbows. These areas of our body are most of the time dry and with the help of shea butter, you will feel instant relief. It moisturizes but unlike other products, it is not sticky and not oily.
The Body Shop is offerring 20% off for Love Your Body Club members. Visit their stores for more info. They have accommodating staff and skin experts.
